Meet Your Pastor

Elvis and Edwina Eben-Baffour were called into ministry in 1992 when they were pursuing their various academic disciplines at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, Ghana. They heeded to the call of God on their lives and headed to the Upper West Region of Ghana where they established churches, childhood centers and other economic and social ventures as well as raising of church leaders. For 9 years, they lived in the North of Ghana pouring their lives as an offering to all the people they met. They traveled in Villages and hamlets under very severe hardships sharing the good news with people who would hear the gospel for the first time. They planted churches where there were none and preached in places where Jesus would be heard for the first time. All these they did with joy and passion and understandably, they would do it again. Testimonies abound of many people whose lives have been transformed both spiritually and socially due to their encounter with Elvis and Edwina. Their lives have been a sacrifice even though you will not hear them described it as such. They think it is normal to live your life for others even if that will put you in a disadvantage position. Today, Elvis and Edwina have not altered their way of life in terms of opening their doors to others and providing for the needs of others. It must be stated on a lighter note though, that Elvis in particular has more flesh now than before. It could be a sign of good living.

As pastors of Calvary Charismatic Center, USA, they view this as another opportunity to leverage their influence on the next generation, teaching people to “serving God and loving people”. They say the two are inseparable. It’s not possible to serve God without loving people. That is not a pure religion.

Elvis and Edwina, who first met on an outreach program organized by the Inter-Hall Christian Fellowship (IHCF), of the University are both passionate intercessors and power preachers. Elvis has featured in many programs in both large and small churches. His messages are centered on leadership, service and discipleship and always accompanied with healings, deliverance and great signs. They are blessed with three sons and many more.
